Jamie Fowler, Local Foods Coordinator
Jamie joined Golden Hills in 2022. She grew up in Wyoming, frequently visiting and developing a love of Southwest Iowa while regularly visiting grandparents and friends.
She attended the University of Montana, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and History. Her studies ranged from native plant restoration to sustainable agriculture and environmental politics and policy.
Jamie loves all things plants. Her hobbies include growing food, studying plant medicine and cooking from scratch. Jamie serves on the Shenandoah Tree Board and Page County Extension Council. She can often be found sharing her plant knowledge regionally through foraging walks and informational talks.
In 2013 she and her husband, Jean-Paul, decided to escape the smokey summers of the West by moving to Shenandoah. They have an elementary-aged daughter, Elke, who also loves to run and spend time outdoors.
